My Students

I teach English to an amazing group of students from a variety of different backgrounds, and abilities. In this class, we are a family. We learn from each other, grow with each other, and strive to be better people every day.

We use books to learn about our communities and tie them to things we can relate to through service projects.

I guide them through learning by fostering a love of reading, and teaching them a sense of belonging.

My Project

More and more my students tell me their mental health is suffering this year.

This project will help me create a calm place for them to be able to focus and learn.

Several of my students like to color when they are stressed, so the coloring books will help, as well as the ink for me to print out sheets for them.

My students are always asking for snacks, waters and personal supplies. We go through waters so quickly, it's hard for me to keep them stocked, as well as feminine products.

The posters are for my students to make dream-boards. Having a visual of your goals helps keep them motivated to reach those goals.
