Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my students, and their families, are struggling or their families have been impacted by the current pandemic. So as their teacher, I want them to have endless possibilities. I want them to be able to participate in activities and learning and make up for learning loss.

In the last few months of last school year, my students were learning both hybrid and some were remote as well and this upcoming school year, we will return full time in person and I am so excited.

They were working so hard from wherever they were, and many have been impacted by the pandemic and are ready to be back in person, they deserve only the best, and I want to provide them with the best learning experience!

My Project

A big focus of our daily schedule this year is SEL and behavior. Many of my students struggle to focus and pay attention but with a reward or incentive or something fun to work towards, they can work hard on fixing their behavior.

Mental health is a big focus this year as well as focusing and being in a classroom long hours after being at home during the pandemic and having a box of fun incentives, stress balls, and fidget toys to pick from as rewards will help give my students something to work towards.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
