Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year, I will get an opportunity to teach the students that were my Kindergarteners and First graders! The ¿Qué tal? magazine will immerse my students in the language and culture of Spanish countries. It will also help build their fluency and comprehension in Spanish. Imagine the enthusiasm that radiates in our super classroom when students read and speak in Spanish!
I can't wait to hear, "Me encanta el español!" These are the words that make Maestra Stiles excited to teach.
My Project
Imagine the wealth of information that my students will learn each time they receive a magazine! Each child will receive 6 issues. Plus each magazine has colorful high-interest features aligned to the Common Core Standards.
The magazine will provide my students with an opportunity to learn about different cultures.
It will also provide access to Scholastic Magazine's online resources. I can use the digital issues, videos, audio, weekly news and more to make learning fun and exciting.
By donating to our project, you will help my students learn new concepts. These magazines will also complement my teaching and build a classroom of motivated Spanish readers!
