Math, Mindset and Motivation: Creating a Classroom Where Students Thrive

Help me give my students a color printer, beanbag seats, folders, pencils and more providing essential items like notebooks, pencils for a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom where my students feel excited to learn, comfortable, motivated with a calm rest area.

My Project

My students are energetic, creative, curious, and full of personality. I love watching them grow in confidence, especially when a challenging math concept finally clicks. They each bring different strengths, experiences, and learning styles into our classroom, and I want them to have a space where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and ready to learn.

A beanbag, rug, and pillows will help create a cozy rest center where students can take a short break, reset, and regulate their emotions.

This calming space will allow them to return to learning feeling refreshed, focused, and ready to succeed and will also be used for small groups.

I have a “hygiene station” stocked with hygiene essentials like pads, deodorant, toothbrush- items my students feel comfortable asking me for.

Classroom materials will make supplies easily accessible and allow us to spend more time learning. These supplies using notebooks and pencils are to help student be fully prepared. A classroom printer will allow me to quickly provide students with math worksheets, practice activities, and additional resources.

Having easy access to printed materials will help me better support my students and keep them engaged and prepared for success.
