My Students

These students are truly amazing! They are hard working, kind and supportive of each other. I love seeing them work together and the classroom community we have created brings a smile to my face everyday.

This past year these students have gone through a LOT.

I teach at a Title 1 school where students are generally very sweet, parents are helpful, but money is tight. These kids had a very odd and rocky kindergarten experiences with hybrid learning, online only learning and then classroom learning. I am hoping that this year they will feel love, warmth and care like never before. Yay for 1st grade!

My Project

This is my 2nd year teaching 1st grade and if I have learned anything it has been that teaching whole group to 6-7 year olds is not the best experience for them or for me. ;) I have learned through trial and error that they need small group instruction and they need to have differentiated math stations to learn information.

Games are an excellent way to keep kids engaged and teach valuable math skills.

Through using math stations I am able to provide instruction to kids at their own level. The catch is that it has been engaging in order to keep them interested.

Please help my students be able to use this game so they are able to sharpen their addition and subtraction skills. I know they will love the game and I will love seeing a smile on their face while they are learning! :)
