Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Mrs. G. and I work at a Title I school in East Austin, Texas. Majority of the students on my campus come for single family, low income housing.

My goal this upcoming school year is to ensure my students have what they need in order to be successful, no matter their demographics.

All the supplies will help the students with math this year. We use our desks for writing and solving problems, so the expo markers are a must need, as we go through a lot of them throughout the year. The timer will be helpful for students who struggle with completing their work on time and it's big enough to put in front of the room for all to see. We complete a lot of math work on Chromebooks, so the students like to print out their work to take home and they love seeing the colors they incorporated in their work, which is where the ink will come in handy. We still have a huge chalkboard in the room which serves no purpose, so I would like to use the magnetic whiteboard to help students solve problems while in small groups.

Thank you so much for you time! These students are our future and because of you, they can become successful.
