Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach an energetic and excited learning set of first graders. My kids come from a low-income environment and are witnesses to adult life at such a tender age.

They come to school each day ready to try new things in order to grow but struggle with differentiating the life they know from the life they can achieve.

The majority of the kids I teach come from families that cannot always provide money, food, and other basic needs. For some, coming to school is their saving grace. My goal is to provide them with a positive and fun-filled learning environment. I try to teach them every day that no matter what your outside life maybe, inside we are a family and we will succeed.

My Project

These math materials will help my students engage and enhance their learning desire for math! These resources will continue to enhance the fun learning environment that I strive to have in my classroom. Students will be able to have differentiated work, which will help them continue to enjoy independent math time.

With these resources, my students will be able to work at their own pace and have fun.

They will also be able to find interest in all things math. The donations to this project will help in so many different ways. I want my students to be mini mathematicians and enjoy it in the process. I truly need your support to make this a reality.
