Where we are located, our students are required to participate in the I-Ready program for reading and math to monitor growth and assist with small group placement. Students have to listen and complete the missions that are based around grade level appropriate curriculum. The headphones that we have in the classrooms are very low quality. Many times the students break them within a week of getting them, the sound quality is so bad they cannot hear, or the sound on one side of the headphone goes out making it difficult to hear and focus on their lessons. With majority of them learning how to read, it is imperative that they can hear the lessons to measure their growth. I want to provide them with a quality and comfortable pair of headphones that will make them feel confident about completing their missions.
