Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first-year teacher that is looking forward to meeting my first class of fifth-grade students.

My students attend a Title I school in Bakersfield, CA.

These students have faced challenges beyond the classroom, yet are resilient and excited to learn.

My Project

The right tools can help any student learn and understand numbers and math concepts. Because of the many different learning styles in a classroom, approaching instruction should be flexible and various. The stigma attached to math can create a negative outlook for the subject. Help me smash that stigma and teach my students to have fun with numbers and love math.

Tools and games like multiplication dominos, fraction builders, and dry erase boards will engage students and create a fun outlook towards math.

Please help me give my students the necessary supports to create a fun learning environment that is practice for all learning styles.
