My Students

I work in a Title I-funded school district, which means that the majority of my students come from poor economic backgrounds. I believe school should be their escape. It should be fun and a place where they learn that anything is possible.

It is my goal to expose my students to the generosity of the world.

I have had smaller projects funded through this site. My students were in awe knowing that complete strangers cared about them and their success. My hope is that they will pay your generosity forward in the future.

My Project

My students struggle in math, specifically connecting real-life concepts to math concepts. I love these math games as they make a real connection for the kids, a fun one!

I believe they are just the things my special education students need to visualize the importance of the task ahead.

We will use these games to manipulate math problems and build our one-to-one correspondence skills. The games will be our "special" math games, only to be used when doing math problems. I believe that incorporating math into a gamified setting will provide an emphasis on focus and excellence in reference to our work. Thank you for your consideration.
