Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will make a meaningful difference in my students’ learning by turning abstract math concepts into hands-on experiences. Magnetic tiles, manipulatives, and geometry boards allow children to explore shapes, patterns, and spatial relationships through play. At the preschool level, learning happens best when students can touch, build, and experiment. These tools will support problem-solving, strengthen fine motor skills, and help students develop a deeper understanding of early math concepts in a fun and engaging way.

The goal of this project is to create an interactive learning environment where students feel excited and confident exploring math.

I want to provide opportunities for students to build, create, and collaborate with their peers while developing foundational skills that will support their future learning. By incorporating these hands-on materials into daily activities, students will practice critical thinking, creativity, and persistence—skills that go far beyond the classroom.

My preschool students are curious, energetic, and eager to learn. They come to school each day ready to explore the world around them, and they thrive when given opportunities to learn through play. Many of my students benefit from visual and hands-on supports, and these materials will help meet their diverse learning needs. With the right tools, their natural curiosity and creativity will shine, helping them grow into confident and capable learners.
