As the year is coming to an end, my students have been enjoying being in math centers and exploring manipulatives to help them grapple with hard concepts in math. Unfortunately, our math center is missing some essential manipulatives for topics such as fractions and geometry.
With the Power Polygons set, students will learn about attributes of shapes and angles through hands-on learning.
This set will allow students to make connections, and classify and organize shapes by different attributes.
With the Cuisenaire Rods, students will better understand the relationships between unit fractions, decomposing fractions, and equivalent fractions. The math games will be a great addition to our math center and small group learning. The pencils will come in handy during our day-to-day lessons. My school has its own Cricut cutting machine so I will be able to use adhesive vinyl, transfer tape, and Cricut to create large labels for the large center bin containers as personalized labels for students. The 24 Pocket Expanding File Folder will be used to organize students' work and worksheets used during day-to-day lessons.
