My Project

I work with Mild to Moderately severely learning challenged students at a Title 1 high school in a rural district in Southwest Missouri. My students need a great deal of instruction in functional skills to enable them to enjoy as much independence as they are capable of achieving.

With the pizza oven we will be able to utilize several math skills such as fractions, measuring liquids and solids, and following multiple step instructions.

My students will work cooperatively as they make the pizza and will use life skills that will enhance their ability to live independently after high school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
