Winning authors have frequently said these reader choice awards are some of their favorites because they are selected solely by teens. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity during the recent #FillEveryShelf match, I was able to fund one copy of each title on the preliminary 27-28 list so that my students (and interested staff) could help select next school year's Gateway titles. My seniors have in particular enjoyed reading from this list since they will be out if HS by the time this list is highlighted across Missouri. \r\n\r\nBeing a part of rating each book that is read is an opportunity I would not have been able to provide my students without your support. That means over 200 books have found their new homes on bookshelves and in the hearts of readers throughout our rural community. My students loved being able to continually restock the books available and the fun interacting with those families in attendance made this community service opportunity a core memory. \r\n\r\n\"Wow! You have books for all ages! This is the best booth of the night!\" was another quote by one of the parents in attendance. Thank you for funding board books for our babies/toddlers, picture books, illustrated chapter books, middle grade, and young adult titles. When a parent would try to convince their child to pick this book instead, I would even surprise the parent with the book they were wanting because \"the book\r\ndistribution system has selected you as the book owner.\"\r\n\r\nWhen one of the books we originally wanted to order was unavailable, the decision to provide a book to our Early Child Special Education class was made. We have been putting the scoreboard and the carts to good use! They get used each day for practice, home games and our little 5th and 6th graders also use them at their practices at the high school! \r\n\r\nThe scoreboard helps us keep the gym competitive and track scores for games. The bright colors help with visibility on both sides of the net and across the gym. We are very pleased with the quality of the scoreboard as well. The waterproof, thick vinyl design is very durable. \r\n\r\nThe carts are (without much explanation) getting used daily. We are so grateful for a durable spot to keep our balls.
