Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school were a majority of my students receive free or reduced price lunch, breakfast and supper. 100% of my students are Hispanic.

Many of my students come from a single family home but they are always eager to come to school everyday to learn.

My Project

We survived the pandemic and are happy for the new year. During the holidays, my students and I are recharging and getting ready for the new year.

My students will use magnetic letters to use their thinking skills and help them to develop fine motor skills, by learning to recognize matching letters to words.

Using the magnetic letters will help them to learn their alphabet, and motivate them to become lifelong learners. We will also use the magnetic letters to match their names and words inside the classroom and outside on the yard when we do shared activities. These magnetic letters can be used year after year.

I am hopeful that we will return to some type of normalcy in the coming months, and the magnetic letters will encourage a love of learning.
