Our school serves students in grades K-6. I have 22 energetic, amazing students in my 5th grade class. We have a strong focus on math and reading, and this being my first year teaching math, I want to provide my students with everything they need in order for them to succeed. Seeing the excitement on their faces when they finally understand a concept is the best feeling in the world. I want to ensure that the same excitement will continue and flourish through the year and years to come.
My Project
Students learn by doing. As a supplement to our current curriculum, I want to provide my students with the necessary tools for learning. They absolutely love playing math learning games. Games are a terrific way for small groups of students to work cooperatively while learning their math facts. These resources will continued to be useful for years to come.
Learning addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is a necessary part of life.
In all aspects of daily living we need to have to have the basic knowledge of math facts. I am hoping these games and activities will encourage my students to continue to do their best.
