Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you very much for considering this project. These training aids are for a Marine Corps JROTC program. We have 6 classes/day with approximately 25 students (cadets) per class.

Twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, we have physical training (PT).

We have pull-up bars in our classroom and outside on our PT field. The majority of students in our program do not have the requisite upper body strength to perform a PU without assistance. We use the strength bands to provide different levels of assistance to the students to the point, where, eventually, they can perform a PU without assistance. Our current strength bands are in serious need of replacement. On the last Friday of each month we have, "game day". The cadet's favorite game is Capture the Flag. We add dodge balls to the game to add more of a tactical and athletic aspect to the game. Capture the flag is a tremendous way to develop teamwork and help build esprit de corps among the classes.
