This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Music has so many benefits in early education. I have seen my students develop confidence in themselves, as well as a sense of community with their classmates while discovering the joy in making music and rhythm with each other. My dream is to continue to bring meaningful music learning opportunities to the classroom by providing a variety of different simple instruments to my students, which will also help develop fine motor skills and coordination early on in their lives. I also plan to use these resources to use with other classrooms at my grade level to ensure they have an equal opportunity to grow.

Music also increases literacy skills through rhymes and sound identification, paving the way for a bright future in reading and writing.

My goal is to use music to help build the foundational skills students need for success, while bringing fun and fine arts to the classroom. I hope to bring musicality and joy to my students, and I hope you can help us with our education journey!
