Your contributions have provided meaningful, age appropriate resources that are most often not funded by the school district. \r\nThe donations you provided allow students outdoor, hands on learning experiences that grow their curiosity. The magnifying bug containers have been a big hit. The kids love looking for various insects and safely capturing them. They began by describing the insects and have now started comparing them. These experiences have helped drive our learning inside the classroom where they have been drawing, labeling and describing the insects.\r\nStudents have also loved helping plant our garden. They are patient and observant as our garden slowly grows. They have learned how to identify the plants and have even sampled some lettuce and broccoli. \r\nI feel very strongly that young students deserve an exciting, hands on approach to learning. Their early experiences shape their confidence as a learner and love for school. Your generous donation allowed each student to have more movement possibilities to maximize their coding experience. Students who had previously struggled with the fine motor skills of drawing the color code squares were able to focus on the creative aspects of coding instead of being frustrated by a robot that didn't perform as intended. All students were able to experience success with coding, and those who were able to extend their learning had the opportunity to do so.\r\n\r\nI am looking forward to extending the Ozobot activities further into my robotics curriculum with these tiles. Various activities can be incorporated with the Ozobots and magnetic tiles to supplement related scientific concepts and other content areas. These materials also increase students' comfort level with technology and may inspire them to pursue these interests as a hobby or career.
