Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 2026-2027 school year is my 26th year in the classroom, and I am teaching 3rd Grade for the second year in a row!

In my classroom, I push my students to challenge themselves to think critically, develop conceptual understanding, and make connections between classroom subjects and the real world!

This project will provide my students with AngLegs! AngLegs are math manipulatives that can be built into various 2D shapes according to their attributes: sets of parallel sides, number of right angles, etc. This concept is a math standard (3.G.1) for all third graders and can be challenging without physical math manipulatives.

Allowing students to build and see the different types of quadrilaterals helps them better understand the different attributes of each figure. This turns geometry into a fun and understandable concept that is accessible for all students!
