Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a hilarious and passionate group of kids! They are so creative and love opportunities for group work and getting to display their hard work. They are thoughtful and kind, and I am so proud of how much they have grown this year! They love listening to music while they work, as well as getting to work outside. They love playing and participating in team-building activities.

My students show me they are truly eager to learn every day.

They demonstrate this in very unique ways. They are so inquisitive throughout each and every day, from homework questions to when the next group project starts. They are great collaborators and love getting to display their artistic ability, even to the point of drawing comic strips at the bottom of spelling tests! They have taught me so much, especially when it comes to what learning can look like!

My Project

These awesome manipulatives will help my students learn and practice all kinds of math skills each day! They will be used from the beginning until the end of the year in groups or independently.

Math manipulatives are wonderful tools for students, because they are a direct, hands-on way to learn, practice and demonstrate a variety of math skills!

Being able to provide a variety of instructional resources will help me improve my math instruction, as well as help my kiddos learn in ways that make sense to them.

Using these resources will aid students in all kinds of math based content areas... from introducing a skill to reviewing for a test! I would love to see these math manipulatives and resources in my room! My students will better understand math concepts, while they enjoy and take ownership of their learning process...making math fun!
