Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and excited to come to school. My second graders work incredibly hard each day, and I believe even the smallest moments of recognition can have a lasting impact on their confidence, sense of belonging, and love of learning. Whether it's celebrating a birthday, recognizing positive choices, or encouraging perseverance, these moments help build a classroom community where every student feels valued.

This project will provide birthday celebration supplies, classroom rewards, sensory fidgets, and organizational materials that help make our classroom a welcoming and positive place.

Students will be able to celebrate birthdays with special treats and keepsakes, earn rewards for demonstrating kindness and responsibility, and use calming sensory tools when they need support staying focused and regulated. Organizational supplies like Mavalus tape and magnetic whiteboard shelves will also help keep our classroom running smoothly and make learning materials easily accessible every day.

A positive classroom culture helps students feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. By celebrating milestones, recognizing accomplishments, and creating joyful traditions, we build relationships that strengthen our classroom community and encourage every child to do their best. Your generosity will help create meaningful memories that my students will carry with them long after second grade.
