My Project

This project will give students the opportunity to see themselves in books. Giving a student this opportunity will allow them to make a connection they may have never had the opportunity to make. Seeing others in books who look similar to them or have gone through a similar situations is very encouraging.

Being able to open a book and connect with a story will plant a seed for the love of reading that will continue to grow if given the right resources.

These books will allow us to dive into worlds unknown, open doors to countries we will never visit, and teach us that there is more to life than just what is within our four walls. Students will have the opportunity to grow empathy and become knowledgeable about those who are different than them.
