Students have memories from fourth grade as well as a book to read during the summer. The great part about reading is that if you have a book you enjoy reading, you can read it multiple times. Their creativity and imagination will also be two other skills that will benefit during the summer along with fluency. There is power in reading a book more than once. Giving students this opportunity is something that I am forever grateful for. Thank you for partnering with me in order to help students with building their literacy during the summer.
