The last two days I spent in a workshop, sitting on a hard folding chair. I will admit, I couldn't do my best work because I was so uncomfortable. I then realized this must be how my students feel in their chairs and desks. So I am hoping to build a classroom with flexible seating options for students. I am looking to purchase bean bag chairs, chair pads, camp chairs and balance balls so that students have a variety of comfortable seating options. I know that if students can work in their best learning environment that they will be able to focus more on their learning. I can already see my students scattered around the room, cozy in their seating choice, reading a book, or solving a math problem!
