My Students

My students come to me for help in literacy and math. They are struggling and need fun ways to master these subjects. Keeping the students interest with new books and materials is very important. All students can and do learn. Some just need to know what they like and need are important to us as well as their learning. Our district is comprised mostly of low income families and education is not always high on their priority list when food and shelter are not a certainty.

My Project

These materials will help students get much needed hands- on practice to learn basic math skills to help them become successful math students.

These materials will help students have fun learning.

Having fun is an important part of learning. When a student struggles it is hard to keep their attention and interest. Any time we can make it fun for them it increases their interest and their ability to retain the information.

The materials I am requesting will enable me to keep students interested and involved in their learning.

Kids learn best through play and retain the information much longer when they are interested and involved.
