My Students

My school is a small magnet school of around two hundred and seventy-seven students in an urban area. We are the small school for students who want to do big things. My students are amazing. Many of them have challenges which put roadblocks on their road to success, but they persevere and take the challenges head on. I am proud to work in a school where we work as a community to challenge students academically and help them to be the best they can be as a person and as a student.

My Project

I am requesting a Cricut machine and accessories in order to work with the art teacher in helping students create products for our school store. All of the activities at our school requires donations, fundraising, and students being able to create items for the school store gives it more of a personal touch, gives the students a sense of being an integral part of raising money for student activities. All of that, coupled with students creating the products helps them earn their art credit as well as teach them how to start a small business.
