My Students

Compassionate, curious, and full of the desire to learn more accurately describes my students. These children have huge hearts and are always asking to learn more, read more, and do more! They inspire me each and every day! At SSA we are a family and see school as a second home.

My Project

Learning about cell structure and molecules is one thing but SEEING cells and molecules in action is another! Seeing is believing; microscopes can make those hard to understand lessons easy. Microscopes can make those important lessons more exciting by experiencing and witnessing these necessary lessons first hand. Learning about cells and living organisms can sometimes be confusing for a student however, having the experience of seeing those cells and organisms in real life can aid that understanding of that new lesson.

Can you imagine seeing a cell separate from another, the veins of a leaf from the playground, or the different organisms living in the soil from the garden?

Having microscopes would provide an amazing opportunity to the science students of my classroom. Not only would it aid learning, but it would help with team building. These would be used as a group where they could observe and discuss what they are seeing. They would be able to talk and learn from one another. These new science tools would be used by 6th-8th graders in the class often. Microscopes would greatly help my students and myself in having a memorable science year!
