Time travel exists in Mrs. Allen's history class! We can be transported to 1945 Hiroshima, 1920's Massachusetts, World War I, and many other times or places. All with the help of BOOKS! Books hold power and not only help my students see different historical events from the point of view of kids their own age, but help GREATLY with strengthening the developing brain! As a first year teacher, my classroom lacks literature that introduce the topics that we will learn about throughout the year. Having books for students to check out and read would make learning available at home too. My students and I have had the pleasure to read one of the 'I Survived' books and we LOVED IT! They were so engaged and are excited about reading! By supporting these incredible future leaders, you will be helping make time travel possible! Thank you so much!
