My Project

My third graders always love a good book! Mysteries are something that gives the reader a real purpose! You have to turn the page to know what will happen next and along the way you work to figure out the clues the author has left for you like bread crumbs along the path. Kids eat this kind of book up!

In our classroom we do Reader's Workshop each day.

After a mini lesson, kids get to choose a book from the appropriate genre and try out the new skill that was introduced. If you add in brand new mysteries, like the ones on this wish list, to this mix, you will hear a pin drop! I can almost guarantee it!
