My Students

Desks. Chairs. Teachers. Pencils. Tests. Homework. Sound fun? No! Sound exactly like your classroom as a child? Yes! Our kids are worth more than the same 'ol, same 'ol!

My students come into my classroom knowing I've got outside-the-box lessons for them, and they can't wait to come in!

They love to try the Maker Space I have for them, and work on problem solving, teamwork, engineering, science concepts...and FUN! There's always a celebration at the end, even if nothing worked! We celebrate all of the ideas and attempts!

My Project

Maker Space! Engineering!! Teamwork! Challenges! These magnetic tiles teach spatial relationships, math, logic, and problem-solving through creative building! The tiles attract on all sides and in all combinations, helping children move from two-dimensional to three-dimensional creations!

Children learn best with hands-on experiences, where they can actually build what they are learning about, and SEE it!

Since Magna-Tiles are much harder to knock over than traditional blocks, children can learn basic engineering skills to build a variety of simple and complex 3-D structures.

In my maker space, students come in ready and eager to learn! They love challenges, and love to build! Children with all abilities feel so successful!
