Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My energetic fourth and fifth graders join online learning everyday eager to learn. Next year, I will be moving from the upper to the lower grades. I teach at a Title One school and the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Despite the many challenges they may face outside of school, my students are enthusiastic and curious about the world around them.

Many of them take their newfound knowledge and teach their family members at home. They take pride in their learning and they love to learn.

My Project

First graders are curious, eager, and excited to come to school and learn. These magnetic letters would be a great for the students to create and manipulate words on the whiteboard. The math magnetic materials will be used to create patterns and for counting. Students will also be able to use the large number bond and ten frame as they work on learning addition and subtraction. Many of these jumbo magnetic pieces will be fantastic because they can be seen from farther away. These magnetic materials would be a great addition to the classroom to support the students' learning.
