My Students

I love our Kinder Kits at Treaty Rock! Our mascot is the fox so we are the Kinder kits! There are 3 regular kindergarten classes and then some of the kids stay all day to be in my room for extra help in reading. They are so excited and eager to learn and be at school! They are what I love about teaching.

My Project

In my classroom we do center rotations where students work independently at stations while I work with small groups. I’m hoping for funding to create a magnetic learning center where 4 kids can work on math and literacy skills, such as ordering numbers, doing simple addition, and writing 3 letter words using magnetic letters and numbers. The magnetic boards stand up at each table for the kids to be able to easily access. This will be an engaging, hands-on way for the kids to learn. My goal during our center rotations is for my kindergartners to work independently to review skills I have taught so that I can focus on working in reading skills with my small group of kids.
