My Project

My students love to read. They look forward to independent reading time every day. It's a time where they can really choose a topic they enjoy and dive in for enjoyment, rather than academics.

Graphic novels make some of the most popular books accessible to a variety of reading levels.

They are often more enticing for students who may not have initially shown interest in a particular topic. They really bring in the art of traditional comic books in a way that meets a more diverse group of readers.

By ensuring that my students have access to the books they really want to read, I help continue to support and grow their love of reading.
