I work with creative and inquisitive students who are always interested in learning about the world around them! Our program starts in first grade, and continues through fifth. My students love learning about Greek Mythology, Engineering, and Space Exploration, and are always ready to use their imaginations to infuse the everyday with a little bit of fun. I love watching them make connections, solve problems, and learn to love learning! I work to enrich and accelerate grade level curriculum to meet students’ needs, and my kids span a broad range of ages and abilities.
My Project
The pandemic has had a negative impact on our students’ abilities to problem solve and work in groups. In response and in collaboration with our school counselor, we have created a focus on teambuilding, positive leadership, and problem solving for our students.
The teambuilding activities from Everlast will be used to help kids develop the skills for communication and collaboration through engaging challenges and cooperative games.
The great thing about these materials is they make learning about teamwork, cooperation, and leadership relevant to kids’ lives, and the activities make the lessons fun!
