My Project

My students are preparing for the Math 3 End-of-Course (EOC) assessment and need opportunities to better understand functions, graphs, and mathematical modeling. This project will provide loaner laptops/iPads so students can regularly use Desmos, an interactive graphing tool that helps bring mathematics to life.

With access to classroom devices, students will explore graphs, test equations, analyze patterns, and see how changes affect functions in real time.

These experiences will help students build deeper conceptual understanding, strengthen problem-solving skills, and improve EOC readiness.

Many students at our Title I school have limited access to technology outside of school. Providing loaner devices will ensure every student can actively participate in digital learning activities and receive the support they need to succeed in Math 3.

How Students Will Use These Devices

Students will use the devices for:

* Desmos graphing activities aligned with Math 3 standards

* Exploring polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions

* Practicing EOC-style problems

* Completing interactive lessons and assessments

* Collaborating with classmates during problem-solving activities

Expected Impact

These devices will help students become more engaged, confident, and successful in mathematics. Students will develop stronger connections between equations, graphs, and real-world applications while building the skills needed for the Math 3 EOC and future STEM courses.
