My Project

I love my students because they are curious, eager, and full of determination. Every day, they show up ready to learn, take risks, and try again—even when reading feels challenging. They celebrate small victories, encourage one another, and take pride in their growth. Watching their confidence build as they begin to read words on their own is one of the most rewarding parts of my work as a teacher.

Magnetic letters and magnetic boards will be powerful tools to support my students’ learning alongside the UFLI phonics curriculum.

These resources allow students to physically manipulate letter sounds, which strengthens their ability to decode and blend CVC words. By moving letters to build words, students can clearly see how changing one sound changes the whole word—an essential skill in early reading development.

The magnetic boards also provide a structured, engaging space for small-group and hands-on practice. They support multisensory learning, which is especially beneficial for students who need visual and tactile reinforcement. These tools will help my students slow down, sound out words, and gain confidence as they transition from recognizing letter sounds to reading and writing words independently.

Together, these resources will help make phonics instruction more accessible, engaging, and effective—giving my students the foundation they need to become confident, capable readers.
