We've incorporated them into daily movement breaks and indoor recess. During our \"Move & Groove\" stations, small groups rotate between hula-hoop challenges, scooter relays, and trampoline jumps. These activities build balance, coordination, and teamwork while giving students a fun way to release energy and refocus for learning.\r\nTheir excitement when the materials first arrived was priceless. Many gasped and cheered as they entered the shared pod space and spotted the bright scooters and trampoline. Several immediately began planning games together, and one student exclaimed, \"This is the best surprise ever!\" The materials instantly became a shared highlight of the day.\r\nLooking ahead, we're integrating these resources into a new unit on health and body awareness. Students will track how different activities—jumping, scooting, or hooping—make their hearts beat faster and help their bodies grow strong. This ties physical play to science and self-care, reinforcing how movement supports both learning and overall well-being.\r\nYour contribution has truly made a difference for our entire grade level. Thank you for investing in our children's health, happiness, and love of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1750277678716,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-ready-to-move/9414342/","projectTitle":"Let’s Get Ready to Move","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mcclain","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6842835_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747190260887","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6842835"},{"teacherId":6842835,"projectId":9348211,"letterContent":"Our new technology is helping students learn in more interactive and personalized ways. It supports a variety of learning styles—visual, auditory, and hands-on—so every child can stay engaged and work at a pace that fits their needs. Students receive instant feedback and can revisit concepts as often as they like, which helps build confidence and mastery of new skills. The interactive, game-like activities keep lessons fun and motivating, making even challenging topics feel more approachable.\r\n\r\nMany students have been especially excited by the playful and engaging features of the technology. Quieter learners, in particular, have found it easier to participate without the pressure of speaking out loud, while others who often struggle with traditional paper-and-pencil tasks are now more willing to try. We've seen students volunteer answers, collaborate with classmates, and even take on leadership roles during activities, which has been inspiring to witness and shows just how impactful this technology can be for their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1747198013588,"projectUrl":"project/little-learners-big-planet-eco-stem-in/9348211/","projectTitle":"Little Learners, Big Planet: Eco-STEM in Pre-K","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mcclain","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6842835_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747190260887","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6842835"},{"teacherId":6842835,"projectId":9211955,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support—and the incredible impact of Ripple—our classroom was able to bring in new technology that's helping our youngest learners build the foundational skills they need to succeed!\r\n\r\nWhile many of our donors use technology daily at home, the way we use it in school is truly transformative. In our TK classroom, technology isn't just screen time—it's a hands-on, interactive learning tool. Students are using tablets and learning apps to practice letter sounds, explore numbers through virtual manipulatives, and engage with stories that come alive with sound and animation. These tools support differentiated learning, allowing each child to move at their own pace and gain confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting parts for our students has been using interactive whiteboards and tablets for guided learning games. The smiles and excitement we see when students complete a letter match or count along with a favorite character are priceless! It turns learning into a joyful, active experience instead of a passive one.\r\n\r\nWe've seen some incredible growth, especially in students who were initially reluctant to participate in whole-group lessons. One student, in particular, who often struggled to stay engaged during traditional instruction, has completely blossomed with the interactive technology. He now eagerly raises his hand to demonstrate how to use the apps and even helps his classmates navigate them.\r\n\r\nThis project made a tremendous impact on our students' learning. Because of these new tools, we were able to provide more targeted small group instruction, reinforce early literacy and numeracy skills, and build digital literacy in a developmentally appropriate way. It's helping prepare our students not just for kindergarten—but for a future where technology will be a key part of their success.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our classroom and in the power of early learning.
