My Project

My goal is to create a fun, active, developmentally appropriate science center to use daily in my TK classroom. Through play and inquiry, these tools will not only jump start my little TK learners' life long love for science but will also allow my little TK learners to gain information that will help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Many of the skills practiced during science, such as describing, comparing and contrasting, also support emerging literacy skills.

These science tools will help create authentic experiences in which all children will have the opportunity to learn and practice new vocabulary. Science is a wonderful way to spark curiosity and build knowledge and experience and these tools will do just that!
