This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The "Little People, Big Dreams" series is an excellent resource for introducing my fifth-grade classroom to the stories of remarkable individuals throughout history. Each book in the series focuses on a different figure, providing a captivating and accessible biography that both educates and inspires young readers.

The series covers a wide array of individuals from various fields, including activists, artists, athletes, scientists, and more.

This diversity ensures that students are exposed to different career paths and achievements. Each biography provides historical context, helping students understand the time and environment in which these figures lived and worked. This can enhance their understanding of history and its impact on the present. The books are written in an engaging and age-appropriate manner, making learning about historical figures both fun and informative. Vibrant and beautiful illustrations accompany the text, capturing the essence of each figure's life and achievements, which can help visual learners engage with the material.
