We use it daily during storytime and writing activities. One meaningful moment was when a student sat in the chair to share their own story before we began our writing lesson. Sitting in the chair helped them feel confident and excited to speak, and it inspired other students to want to share their ideas too. The chair has turned storytelling into something students truly look forward to and helps spark their imagination before they begin writing.\r\nWhen the chair was first introduced, the students were thrilled. They immediately understood that it was a special spot, and their excitement was clear as they took turns sitting in it. I noticed how focused and proud they felt while seated there, especially when sharing stories or ideas. The chair creates a calm and comfortable space that helps students feel safe expressing themselves.\r\nAs we continue building writing skills in kindergarten, the crisscross chair plays an important role in motivating students to tell stories, share ideas, and develop confidence. It encourages them to listen to one another and think creatively before putting their thoughts on paper.
