Little Luxuries, Big Impact

Help me give my students little luxuries that so many people take for granted.

My Project

This project includes items like pens, pencils, and markers that many of us take for granted. Even small things like play doh & dominos can teach skills like teamwork, perseverance and respect in a meaningful way. At my Title I school, many families lack the means to provide these items and experiences for their students. That's also one of the reasons this project also includes posters of mathematicians of diverse backgrounds. Representation is vital in teaching our students they are full of potential.

With help from donors like you, students in Minnesota will have little luxuries like school supplies, sensory support items, small treats, games focused on growing community, and posters representing mathematics of all ethnicities.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card included in this project will be used to purchase materials and experiences further representing mathematicians and stem career opportunities available to all students. Although some may view this project as having small items, they have a big impact in the daily life of 7th graders.

Middle school is filled with drama, hormones, and personal growth. These simple items make a big difference in students' willingness to engage in the learning process.
