Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love bugs! We are off to spring break, but we have exploring to do when we return! Students are prepared to explore outside with their own bug catchers and magnifying glasses. We will learn more about the life cycles of butterflies and ladybugs through the observation of live bugs, the use of models, and reading books.

Using live insects in the classroom to explore and investigate will excite the minds of young, curious learners!

Having live bugs and a variety of learning materials and crafts to connect to their understanding and learning will spark language and vocabulary to use in their writing journals.

Fun, creative crafts and activities with themed stickers will build fine motor skills and allow them to create, learn, and decorate our learning spaces. They enjoy hanging projects in our hallway to share with those who walk through our wing. They have created "Ladybug Lane" by cutting out and hanging giant ladybugs to get ready for our next learning adventure.
