With a wider range of vibrant materials, students are now able to fully express themselves during art projects, science diagrams, and interactive assignments across subjects. Having access to enough supplies for everyone has encouraged collaboration, boosted confidence, and made our classroom activities more engaging and inclusive.\r\n\r\nThe addition of sturdy containers has also helped us organize and preserve these supplies, ensuring they last much longer and stay in good condition. I used the gift card to purchase interactive digital tools and lesson bundles that work seamlessly with the technology we already use in class, such as our Chromebooks and smartboard. These resources not only reinforce academic skills in reading, math, and science, but also allow for differentiated instruction—something that is incredibly important in a diverse 5th grade classroom. The technology enables students to work at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and stay actively involved in their learning through games, videos, and virtual manipulatives.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about these new tools is how interactive and personalized they are. They especially love the self-paced review games and digital escape rooms, which turn traditional practice into a fun challenge. One student who previously struggled to stay focused during lessons has really connected with these tools and now looks forward to our digital learning time each day. It's incredible to see students light up when they realize they've mastered a concept through a game or activity that feels more like play than work. The resources I was able to purchase are not only supporting academic growth but also building confidence and a love of learning—something every teacher hopes for their students.","fullyFundedDate":1747506263252,"projectUrl":"project/a-resources-for-a-learners/9360130/","projectTitle":"A+ Resources for A+ Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Muller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4371926_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1510010882327","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4371926"},{"teacherId":4954752,"projectId":9220340,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for supporting my class. My students are not only using but enjoying the new flexible seating options for our class. Students use them to get their wiggles out and to be more comfortable while learning. Everyday we do something called 'Stamina Reading' wherein children find a comfortable place to read for as long as they can without becoming distracted. Having comfortable options like the new floor pillows and bouncy stools makes this time even better. I notice students are able to quickly start and sustain their reading with these comfortable options. \r\n On a personal note, I know there are many places and ways you can spend your money. It means so much that you thought to send supplies to a class of students you may or may not know. These supplies will also benefit future classes! I post a word in four different areas of the room, and the students move from word/corner as one student counts and covers his/her eyes. Then that student keeps his/her eyes covered and calls out an Eyeword that is posted in a corner. All the students in that corner then sit down. Play continues as students move to a new corner and one guesses where they are standing to get them out of the game. \r\n\r\nAnother way we have added it to our room is by posting one word on our door along with letters that we are learning. As students enter the room they can point to the sight word and letters to read. It's a quick way for me to hear students and check in with each during the week after I greet them in the morning or as they enter the room after breaks.\r\n\r\nAnother game we play is Around the World to practice letters, but I will be adding some words now too. One student stands near a seated student and a card is put under the camera for all to see on the screen. The one that says the word first moves on to the next student to play. I will be adding these words into our game as we play. Students are building up their foundational skills, and the game is a fun addition to our day! We also use Play-Doh, blocks, dot markers, and dry erase markers to practice writing/making letters and words. We will be using sand trays this week!
