My Project

These materials will transform our classroom into a creative storytelling space where students take on roles, create characters, and act out real-world scenarios. Through pretend restaurant, bakery, and ice cream shop experiences, children develop oral language, sequencing, and narrative skills as they create and perform their own stories with peers.

As children build, create, and perform together, they engage in the same creative processes used in visual and performing arts: imagining, designing, creating, and sharing their work with others.

The kinetic sand and dramatic play accessories also provide opportunities for artistic expression. Students will design cakes, cookies, meals, and imaginative creations using a variety of materials, strengthening creativity, fine motor skills, and visual-spatial thinking. Sand will be stored in the plastic IRIS containers to keep it clean and fresh!
