My Students

Welcome to Kindergarten! One of my favorite things about my students is how quickly they have built relationships. They are so excited to see each other in the morning and when it's time to leave every single one of them is saying goodbye to each other. It is the sweetest thing.

Twenty Three students mean Twenty Three different personalities, yet they all manage to come together to learn and grow!

Together we are growing our future leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for supporting their growing individual interests and needs.

My Project

Children play make-believe because it is fun, but did you know that imaginative play is also a key component of normal child development? Dramatic play, or make-believe, occurs when a child role-plays experiences of interest, such as playing house with their toys or friends.

"Dramatic play fosters creativity, while promoting physical development, problem solving, and self-regulation skills."

The goal of this project is to provide my students with dramatic play items for our Indoor Recess and Fun Friday activities. Indoor Recess and Fun Friday are meant for fun! I know these dramatic play items from Lakeshore Learning will excite and motivate my hardworking Kindergarteners. I would love to provide my students with the Mix and Match Magnetic families and play block home builder so that my students can play "house." My students would love to build an awesome train track around the classroom using the 100-piece wooden train set! The Treasure Await Adventure Ship and Dinosaur sets will give my students plenty of opportunity for imaginative play and social skills development with friends.
