My beautiful K-2 students in the small, rural community of Whitefield, Maine want to remind you that "A person's a person no matter how small." They might be small, but they have big dreams and big goals. They are inquisitive, playful, energetic, and full of wonder! They love hands-on learning and are eager for rich experiences!
I want to give them as many opportunities and resources as possible this year so that they can explore, grow, learn, and develop their independence.

My Project
Children learn best through play and hands-on activities. Puzzles and card games will give my students more opportunities to practice their literacy skills in a developmentally appropriate way.
We are so excited to incorporate hands-on and cooperative learning games in our classroom!
It will help students build literacy skills AND social skills, such as sharing and turn-taking.
As one Kindergarten student told me: "Games with other people are way more fun than games on the iPad." I'd love to give them more opportunities to get off screens, interacting with others, and building BOTH their social and academic skills.
