Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My multilingual learners work hard every day to learn both new content and a new language. They are curious, creative, and always excited to learn about the world around them.

These Yoto players will help us create a screen-free Listening Lab where students can listen to short, engaging podcasts and audio stories independently.

Without a screen competing for their attention, students can focus on what they hear while practicing important listening skills like identifying the main idea, remembering details, and learning new vocabulary.

Our students use technology throughout the school day, and while it is an important learning tool, I also want to create opportunities for them to learn without always looking at a screen. These players will give students a simple, engaging way to slow down, listen closely, and learn about interesting topics while building their English language skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
