My Students

The kindergarten students in our class are always excited to learn and come to school everyday! They come from very diverse backgrounds culturally, economically and educationally. The classroom has become their second home where they experience learning and diversity as they come in contact with a variety of cultures. As an ICT classroom setting, the range of the education levels of our students is extreme. We also have a large number of students in our classroom who speak little or no English and are challenged everyday.

My student's LOVE learning, especially when it involves TECHNOLOGY.

Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their families to go to college! Everyday these children strive to do their best and with extra support the end results will certainly help them achieve each and every child's absolute best!

My Project

Modeling is the key to a successful kindergartner learning. We can show the children how to do something over and over again, but sometimes it just doesn't stick. Why not take a picture of it instantly and give it to the child to remember? That's exactly what we are going to do with this Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera with carry case and extra film in the classroom. We would also love to be able to hang the pictures that the students take around the classroom in order for them to feel more confident about their work. By the students seeing their pictures around the room it will create meaning and support the entire class especially the students where English is a second language and the students with special needs.

Having an instant camera in the classroom will allow our students to have mini charts as a resource and be able to take pictures of their work.
