Many of the kindergarten students have difficulty sitting or even being comfortable in their seats. Providing the students with options of where they can sit helps them become more independent as it helps them to build the muscle strength to sit comfortably in a variety of places in the classroom during the day, and not limit their mobility. A comfy floor seat for a child to use on the carpet will be comfortable and allow for less distractions. No longer will a child be tired or distracted because they are using energy to support his/her body. Instead the energy can be channeled into thinking and learning. A wobble chair will help a child who has a hard time sitting still and it will allow them to focus on their task. It will also simultaneously help to release some extra energy. The number one goal of our classroom is to have an inclusive classroom where ALL students feel comfortable and that we can supply the appropriate seating needed to make this happen. We want to make them comfortable so they may achieve to their highest abilities while participating in all classroom activities.
